This was the third monitor I bought for our second child. Do not waste your time looking for cheaper ones like I did, this is worth the money. I have the Super Clear Double Receiver Safety 1st 2 years of my room, which works perfectly. I needed a second for my baby. I tried another Safety 1st, and even with 2 channels, I could only pick up sound from a room. Then I returned for a Sound N Lights Monitor by Fisher-Price. Biggest mistake, we could not hear the whole room, only Static Major. Finally we tried this and love it! It 's so quiet, except of course when the baby makes noise. I can not believe how many channel options it has, and other features too, like an alarm when you are almost out of reach. Additionally, a rechargeable battery that charges when plugged in, so you do not have to waste the batteries just when you want to use it outside. Go for Gold, this Sony is the best yet. read more
